Nib Exchange Service

The nib is the heart of every Montblanc fountain pen. It is the nib that gives handwriting its style and unmistakable character. How a writer holds his pen is as individual as his personality.
Montblanc therefore supplies nibs in eight different widths, from delicate to imposing. In case the current nib of your fountain pen does not fit you, customer service will gladly supply a different nib free of charge if you return the original nib in as-new condition, including the warranty certificate, within six weeks. A service fee for the new nib will be charged to exchange older and already worked-in nibs.

Nib EF
Those who prefer particularly thin writing have the choice of nib widths EF and F.
Nibs EF and F have a rounded end. They are easy to write with in almost any hand position.
Nib F
Those who prefer particularly thin writing have the choice of nib widths F and EF.
Nibs F and EF have a rounded end. They are easy to write with in almost any hand position.
Nib M
Nib M is right for medium-width writing. If this nib width suits you a possible alternative could be nib OM. The oblique finish may make the writing instruments even more pleasant to use.
Nib OM
Nib OM is right for medium width writing, the oblique finish of which can make the writing instrument even more pleasant to use. A possible alternative could be the rounded nib M.
Nib B
It is advisable to choose nib B – or the alternative OB with an oblique finish – for broad writing.
Nib OB
It is advisable to choose the nib OB with an oblique finish – or the alternative B – for broad writing.
Nib BB
If you are keen on particularly broad writing, than we can offer you the option of either nib BB or the alternative OBB with an oblique finish.

If you are keen on particularly broad writing, than we can offer you the option of either nib OBB with an oblique finish or the alternative BB.
